You Are in Control of Your Account
This page explains, in plain language, how password recovery actually works on Yumzip, how to use it safely, and how to tell a genuine Yumzip recovery message apart from a scam. It is a guidance page, not a substitute for our Privacy Policy or Security Policy, which you should also read.
1. About This Page
If you cannot log in to your Yumzip merchant account because you have forgotten your password, this page walks you through the official recovery process, explains what to expect at each step, and lists the precautions you should take to keep your account safe. It describes only the recovery mechanism that is actually available on the platform today.
2. How Password Reset Works on Yumzip
Yumzip's password recovery process is based on a secure, one-time reset link sent to the email address registered on your account. The steps are:
- Go to the Yumzip login page.
- Select "Forgot Password?".
- Enter the email address associated with your Yumzip merchant account and submit the request.
- If that email address matches a registered account, Yumzip sends a password-reset email containing a unique reset link.
- Open the email and click the reset link. This opens a page where you can set a new password.
- Enter and confirm your new password, then submit. You can then log in with your new password.
3. Reset-Link Safety
The password-reset link sent to your email is intended for your use only and is tied to your specific request. To use it safely:
- Only click a reset link you requested yourself, and only from the email address you registered with Yumzip.
- Reset links are time-limited and are generally intended for a single use; if a link has expired or already been used, simply request a new one from the login page.
- Complete the password reset from a device and network connection you trust.
- After resetting your password, log out of any devices or sessions you no longer recognize, where that option is available.
4. Never Share Your Password or Reset Link
Security Notice
Yumzip staff will never call, email, message, or otherwise ask you to share your password or your password-reset link.
- Never share your Yumzip password with anyone, including anyone claiming to represent Yumzip.
- Never forward your password-reset email or link to another person.
- Never enter your Yumzip credentials on a page you reached from an unsolicited email, SMS, or social media message.
5. Recognizing Fake or Phishing Recovery Requests
Scammers sometimes impersonate well-known platforms to trick users into giving up their credentials. Before acting on any message about your Yumzip account:
- Check that any link points to the official yumzip.in domain before entering your email or password. Hover over links to preview the destination where possible.
- Be cautious of urgent or threatening language pressuring you to "act immediately" or "verify now" to avoid account suspension.
- Only start a password reset from the official Yumzip login page rather than clicking links in unexpected messages.
- If you did not request a password reset but received one, do not click the link — see Section 7 below.
6. If You No Longer Have Access to Your Registered Email
Because reset links are sent to your registered email address, you will need access to that inbox to complete a self-service reset. If you have lost access to that email account, automated recovery emails cannot reach you. In this situation, please contact Yumzip Support so our team can assist you. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify that you are the account owner before helping you regain access.
7. Suspected Unauthorized Access
If you believe someone else may have accessed your account, or you receive a password-reset email that you did not request, take the following steps promptly:
- If you did not request the reset, you can simply ignore the email — your password will not change unless the linked reset form is completed.
- If you are concerned your account may already be compromised, reset your password immediately using the official login page.
- Check the security of the email account linked to your Yumzip login, since it is the recovery route into your account.
- Contact Yumzip Support to report the suspicious activity so we can help review your account.
8. Contact Yumzip Support
If you run into any difficulty during account recovery, or if any part of the process described above does not match what you are seeing, please reach out — do not share your password or reset link with anyone in the process of getting help.
