Privacy Policy — Partner Program

This policy applies to information collected through the Yumzip Growth Partner Program. For the main Yumzip platform privacy policy, refer to the main Yumzip website.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information when you register and participate in the Growth Partner Program: Identity & Contact (name, email address, mobile number, city, state); Financial Information (UPI ID, bank account details, PAN number, Aadhaar number for KYC and tax compliance); Professional Information (partner type, business description, social media profiles); Performance Data (referral clicks, sign-ups, conversions, commission records, withdrawal history); Technical Information (IP address, browser type, device information, cookies); and Communications (messages sent to our support team).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to: (a) verify your identity and eligibility; (b) process commission payments and withdrawals; (c) comply with tax regulations, including TDS deduction and Form 16A issuance; (d) track referral performance and calculate commissions; (e) send you notifications about your account, commissions, and program updates; (f) prevent fraud and abuse of the Program; (g) improve our Partner Program and platform; and (h) respond to your support enquiries.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data under the following legal bases: (a) Contract: to perform our obligations under the Partner Agreement; (b) Legal Obligation: to comply with Indian tax laws, including Income Tax Act provisions on TDS; (c) Legitimate Interests: to protect against fraud, improve our services, and ensure Program integrity; and (d) Consent: where you have explicitly consented to specific processing activities (e.g. marketing communications).
4. Financial & Tax Data
Your financial information (PAN, Aadhaar, bank details, UPI ID) is collected strictly for payment processing and tax compliance. PAN and Aadhaar data is treated with heightened security. Aadhaar data is stored in encrypted form and used solely for KYC purposes where required. We will never share your Aadhaar data with third parties except where legally required. TDS deductions will be filed with the Income Tax Department of India with your PAN number.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with: (a) Payment processors (banks, UPI providers) to process your withdrawals; (b) The Income Tax Department of India as required for TDS filings; (c) Fraud prevention and identity verification services; (d) Cloud infrastructure and analytics providers who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements; and (e) Law enforcement or regulatory authorities where legally required. All third parties are contractually bound to protect your data.
6. Data Retention
We retain your partner account data for as long as you have an active account plus 7 years after account closure (for tax and legal compliance). Commission and transaction records are retained for a minimum of 8 years as required by Indian financial regulations. You may request deletion of personal data not required for legal compliance by contacting us. Upon deletion requests, we will anonymise or delete data within 30 days where legally permissible.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including: SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit; AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest; access controls limiting employee access on a need-to-know basis; regular security audits and vulnerability assessments; multi-factor authentication for administrative access; and secure deletion protocols. Despite our best efforts, no system is 100% secure. We will notify you of any breach affecting your personal data within 72 hours of discovery.
8. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to: track referral attribution (30-day cookie on ?ref= links); maintain your login session; analyse traffic and performance; and prevent fraud. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect referral tracking functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the Partner Portal.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate personal data; request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements); object to processing for marketing purposes; request portability of your data in a machine-readable format; and lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the Partner Portal or at the contact information provided in your account.
10. Children's Privacy
The Partner Program is intended for individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we discover that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you via email and/or a prominent notice in the Partner Portal. Your continued participation in the Program after the effective date of updated terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
